The Application Form can be found at the bottom of this page.

  • Open Enrollment for 2017-2018  closed on March 17, 2017.
  • Late applications will be considered according to the criteria below.*
  • Current Orchard View students do not need to reapply
  • Applications must be received during the open enrollment period to be considered for the lottery

* If a space becomes available after the open-application period it will be filled from the waitlist determined by the lottery. If there is no waitlist, the space will be filled from applications received after the open-application period. If more than one application exists, there will be a second lottery.

LOTTERY

If the number of students who wish to attend Orchard View School exceeds the school's capacity, then attendance (except for existing students) is determined by a public random drawing.

A lottery will be held for each class that has more applicants than available spaces. Public notice will be posted on the Orchard View website regarding the date and time of the random public drawing once the deadline date has passed.

An Orchard View School Advisory Board Member, the Director, and at least one other school employee will conduct the Admissions Lottery as a public event to ensure that lottery procedures are fairly executed.

In accordance with the OVS Charter, priority will be given to:

  •                siblings of current students
  •               K-8th grade  students residing in the Twin Hills District.

Initial offers will be made in the week following the lottery drawing by phone.  When an offer is made, Orchard View School will request that applicants notify the school within 72 hours to indicate whether or not they will accept; if offers are declined or applicants do not respond, the spot is then offered to the next applicant on the waitlist.  Families will be notified by mail of their waitlist status once initial offers are accepted.

WAITLIST-

The random public lottery determines an applicants' waitlist status.  Offers for openings are made in waitlist number order until the spots are filled or the waitlist is exhausted.

Waiting lists remain in effect for only the year of application.  Applicants must reapply for the lottery annually if Orchard View School is unable to offer them admission for the current year.

The Lottery for the 2017-18 school year will be held on Friday, March 31st at 9:00 AM. Letters have been mailed to inform applicants of their enrollment status. Late applications will be considered according to the criteria above.*
