Information for OVS Families and Students

Dear OVS Community,

During this time OVS is committed to helping you continue with your independent studies and providing you with educational resources.

The OVS campus is closed through May 1. The Orchard View School office and the Twin Hills District office are closed. Updates concerning office hours will be posted on this website.

If you have any questions regarding school operations, please email me at cstroud@orchardviewschool.org and include your phone number if you would like me to contact you by phone. For questions regarding schoolwork, please contact your OVS Supervising Teacher. Contact information is available on the Staff Directory.

K-8th Grade Students:

During this time students and families in grades K-8 do not need to keep engagement calendars, or submit work samples.

As experienced homeschooling families, we know that you already have established routines and curriculum to guide your studies. We are working hard to provide additional resources, links and instructional ideas.

Beginning next week Supervising Teachers will be available via email to help with pacing and assignments. On-site class teachers will have optional lessons, links, and/or project ideas posted on their class pages.

For students in 7& 8th grade Math Classes, assignments and distance learning instructions will be posted on the OVS website class pages.

9-12th Grade Students:

Beginning the week of March 30th, Supervising Teachers will be contacting high school students to arrange meetings via phone or computer and posting or emailing assignments for coursework. On-site class teachers will be posting assignments on the OVS website class pages. Students do not need to complete daily engagement calendars.

Any student who needs a Chromebook to work from home should contact cstroud@orchardviewschool.org. Information on how to meet with the College and Career Counselor by phone or computer will be posted on the website. We currently do not have any information regarding school events beyond May 1, but will keep you updated via email and the website.

The safety and well being of the Orchard View School Community is my highest priority. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any concerns.

Sincerely,

Cathy Stroud
