Math Policy

Dear Parents and Guardians,

 

 

Placement for all students who desire to take Math I will be based on the following criteria:

 

• Score on a placement test
• Grade or performance in prior math class
• Math teacher evaluation
• Recommendation of supervising teacher

 

 

Placement is subject to reevaluation at the end of September—or after 4 weeks of math classes. All Math I students in any grade will be reevaluated for proper placement. The reevaluation will consider the results of chapter 1 test, the grade in the course to date, and math and supervising teacher evaluations.

 

Parents or guardians can contact the OVS Director any time to request a review of their student’s math placement.
