About OVS Advisory Committee
OVS Advisory Committee provides a structured way for students, families, staff, community members and school administration to share perspectives, discuss school programs and priorities, and make recommendations that support the OVS community.
What the Advisory Committee Does
The OVS Advisory Committee provides input on school programs, student and family needs, communication, school climate, and other topics that affect the OVS community.
The Committee may review information, discuss concerns and ideas, and make recommendations to OVS administration. Recommendations may also be shared with district administration or the Twin Hills Union School District Board of Trustees.
The Twin Hills Union School District Board of Trustees remains the governing board for the school.
Meetings and How to Get Involved
Advisory meetings are held throughout the school year. The meeting schedule, locations, and any virtual meeting links are shared through the OVS calendar and school communications. All students, families, staff and community members are welcome to attend meetings and share input. When vacancies occur, opportunities to participate will be shared with the OVS community.
How Recommendations and Feedback Are Shared
Advisory provides recommendations and feedback to OVS administration. School administration reviews the input, determines appropriate next steps, and shares outcomes or follow-up information with Advisory and school community when appropriate.
Some recommendations may also be forwarded to district administration or the Twin Hills Union School District Board of Trustees when the topic falls within district-level authority.
Agendas, Minutes, and Meeting Information
Meeting dates and information are posted on the OVS calendar and shared through school communications. Agendas and meeting materials will be made available to the OVS community.
